In 2018, the "Dream Team" presented Francis with his bike, giving him freedom on wheels to ride with his friends, little sister Grace, and his mom and dad. Francis and his family live in Waukesha County and he is just one of the many children we’ve helped, but if you took anything away from his story, we hope it’s the reminder that life is precious and should be lived to the fullest. With additional funding, Variety can continue to help eliminate the fear of exclusion felt by so many children with special needs. Additionally, we can continue to offer the opportunity for these children to feel equal with their peers, connect with friends and family, improve health, and boost confidence and self-esteem.
