AFTER BREAST CANCER DIAGNOSIS (ABCD) Daniel Bell, United Heartland Dee Kapalczynski, Bevco Engineering Tonia Smith, Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast CynthiaWill, ProHealth Care After Breast Cancer Diagnosis (ABCD) provides support to anyone impacted by breast cancer, including women, men, family and friends. Our goal was to increase awareness of ABCD inWaukesha County by utilizing our own networks, preparing an article for local newsletters and reaching out to local organizations. We were able to provide themwith resources to use in their future outreach efforts as they continue to increase awareness. BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK Heather Dewey, Bank Five Nine Melissa Hansen, SBR LawGroup Kerri Frake, Paragon Development Systems Alex Lawver, UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha One of Blessings in a Backpack's largest needs is to increase funds, and we contributed by putting together a corporate sponsorship packet. We created the theme “Be a Classroom Hero” and designed a sponsorship packet, press release template, media contact list, and target company sponsorship list. In addition, we created a communication template to be used with new volunteers. HOUSING ACTION COALITION (HAC) Gerry Benton, Waukesha State Bank Sarah Prince, Hydro-Thermal Corporation Lauren Ruff, Ixonia Bank Our group worked with the Housing Action Coalition (HAC) to improve its digital presence. We analyzed the existing website, and then created an entirely new website with an updated appearance and improved user experience. In addition, we analyzed its Facebook page and created a guide to help improve engagement, which provides best practices, recommended updates, a sample posting calendar, and ideas for upcoming posts. CHOSEN, INC. Michelle Carini, United Heartland Matt Karge, Northwoods Matt Seitz, R&R Insurance Services Liz Udovich, Froedtert We focused on improving operational efficiencies at Chosen, which provides support to the foster parent and adoption community. We analyzed donation and accounting processes and identified redundancies. We made recommendations and tested the system to eliminate duplicative manual data entry. We automated the follow- up and donor acknowledgement process and wrote templates for donor touchpoints throughout the year. Within the donation tracking system, we set up automated communications to go out when donations are entered in the system. PANCREATIC ACTION NETWORK Eric Becher, Hatch Staffing Services Melissa Harwick, American Transmission Corp (ATC) Amy Marshall, Manpower Evan Towey, Bevco Engineering Our group raised awareness for a cancer that has a less than 10 percent survival rate and is the third leading cause of cancer related deaths. Our goal was to raise awareness and get involved in the walk the Pancreatic Action Network had in June. We were successful in raising funds for the virtual walk and in turn raised awareness for the event and the cause. HUMANE ANIMALWELFARE SOCIETY (HAWS) Wendy Bitter, Ellenbecker Investment Group Renee Bub Rozek, Carroll University KimKalczynski, HAWS WilliamWirkus, Walden, Neitzke & Kuhary, S.C. Our goal was to create a simple repeatable process for planning, creating and sharing educational videos. The process and content needed to be for a wide audience from children to donors. We recommended what equipment to invest in and explored a program called Biteable to create a sample video.
