We wanted to recognize the amazing Parents Place staff. We are looking at fun, simple ways to recognize and show appreciation for the staff, who build families back up to the positive environment everyone deserves. THEWISCONSINVETERANS NETWORK (VETSNET) Katie Miner, OwnersEdge AdamOsterhaus, Irgens Andrea Gillman, Eaton Corporation TimHoppe, Eaton Corporation TheWisconsin Veterans Network (VetsNet) bridges a gap in the veteran benefit system: identifying and connecting at-risk veterans to benefits/programs they earned through military service. Our goal was to create a one-page strategic business plan to increase the number of veterans VetsNet serves. We identified drivers, metrics and core values they can use to grow their reach. HUMANE ANIMALWELFARE SOCIETY (HAWS) Brett Engelking, Ellenbecker Investment Group Scott Mertins, Lakeland Supply Jody Mueller, New Berlin Plastics DekiraWeddle, GE Healthcare We took a "roll our sleeves up" approach to work at the recently acquired Shallock Animal Center. We were able to start prep work on a new dog training facility (cleaning, repair, priming, painting, epoxy floors, etc.). We also introduced the concept of Gantt charts to prioritize and organize timelines, deliverables and tasks in a way that could work for projects across the organization. LeadershipWaukesha County has been a premier leadership development program for more than 30 years. The program provides the tools, processes and inspiration to develop and enhance leadership skills that empower participants to assume effective leadership roles in the community and their careers. The following is a glance into some of the incredible work our participants from the class of 2019-2020 produced, even in the midst of COVID-19 challenges this Spring.
